Each option supplies one model-specific replacement glass panel and one new fitting glass seal. The glass size, profile, seal type, price and parcel class change automatically with the selected model.

Stove Spare Glass Ltd is an official stockist of genuine SCHOTT ROBAX® fire-viewing glass-ceramic. Flat panels are precision cut by Stove Spare Glass Ltd from original German-engineered SCHOTT ROBAX® material. The Island and Cove options are genuine model-specific curved panels and must not be replaced with flat glass.

This listing includes the Charnwood C-Series, Aire, Arc, Cranmore, Skye, LA, Country, original Island I/II/III and Cove 1/2/3 ranges. It does not include SLX glass or the All New Island range.

Why the New Glass Seal Is Important

The glass seal forms the protective cushion between the glass-ceramic panel and the metal stove door. It helps the pane sit evenly, distributes pressure from the retainers and prevents direct glass-to-metal contact as the stove heats and cools.

The existing seal is often compressed, hardened or damaged when the old glass is removed. Reusing it can leave the replacement panel unevenly supported and vulnerable to concentrated pressure points.

The supplied seal is selected for the chosen stove model:

• 8mm × 3mm self-adhesive seal for most flat and curved options
• 15mm × 2mm self-adhesive seal for Aire 5/500 and Aire 7/700
• 25mm self-adhesive fold-over seal for Arc and Skye panels

Please note: this listing supplies the thin seal used when fitting the stove glass. It is not the larger round door rope fitted around the outer edge of the stove door.

Arc and Skye Fold-Over Seal

Arc and Skye glass is held between a front retaining frame and the rear door frame. Centre the supplied 25mm seal over the raw 4mm glass edge and fold it evenly onto both the front and rear faces so that both sides of the panel are cushioned.

Continue the seal around the complete perimeter, cut the ends neatly where they meet and do not overlap the joint. Refit the frame gradually and do not overtighten the screws.

Island and Cove Curved Glass

The Island and Cove panels have model-specific curves. Cove 2 also has a shaped top profile. Do not substitute flat glass, flex the panel or force it into the door. Order by the exact stove model and compare the stated size and outline before fitting.

Original Island stoves have two doors. This listing supplies one curved panel; order two if both door glasses need replacing.

Fitting Advice

Allow the stove to cool completely. Remove the old panel and seal carefully, then clean the glass recess and remove all fragments and hardened adhesive. Fit the new seal evenly without stretching it.

Refit the glass retainers gradually and evenly. Do not overtighten the clips or screws. They should prevent movement without rigidly clamping the glass.
