All listed models use Charnwood glass reference 006/RW18 and glass seal kit reference 008/RW55. These references are provided for identification only.
The glass seal forms the protective cushion between the glass-ceramic panel and the metal stove door. It helps the pane sit evenly, distributes pressure from the glass retainers and prevents direct glass-to-metal contact as the stove heats and cools.
The existing seal is often compressed, hardened or damaged when the old glass is removed. Reusing a worn seal can leave the replacement pane unevenly supported and vulnerable to concentrated pressure points.
Supplying a fresh seal with every panel gives you the essential components needed for a careful and secure installation.
Please note: this is the thin flat seal used when fitting the stove glass. It is not the larger round rope fitted around the outer edge of the stove door.
Remove the old glass and seal carefully, then clean the glass recess thoroughly before fitting the new seal.
Apply the seal evenly around the glass seating area without stretching it. Refit the glass retainers gradually and evenly.
Do not overtighten the clips or screws. They should hold the pane securely without rigidly clamping it, as excessive or uneven pressure may cause the glass to fracture.
One glass panel is supplied.
